The Tech Events Disruptor from Amsterdam is back with its 6th Edition
Uprise Festival is one of a kind of Tech Event from Europe with the primary focus of bringing the tech community under one roof with little to no-access to technology. Wait what?
That’s right! The company conducts its events in a rather unconventional manner for a tech-event. The festival (not a conference) will not provide access to WiFi with the sole intention of bringing people-people conversations with tech, music, workshops and of course little bit of mayhem
I had a sit-down chat with Isabelle from Uprise in Amsterdam this week and I was quite intrigued by their unique approach. The very reason Uprise likes to call it a festival rather than a Technology Conference is because of the idea of founder Paul O’Connell likes to run the company as a ‘people first, technology later’ events company, incidentally that’s how the company came up with its name – to stir startups in motion with ideas rising up – Uprise Festival
Uprise was founded in Amsterdam in 2015 and they’ve had 5 successful editions in Europe so far. This is their 6th edition and the second time to be held in Dublin. The festival is held in Ireland again, as it is the centre for the startup ecosystem of Europe while still emerging and yet it is a perfect midway between the US, Europe and the rest of the world.
Uprise Fest is the event from Europe for the rule breakers who disrupt the market with innovations in the industry and make their mark. It seems Uprise Fest is on track to become the next big disruptor for tech events!
This year’s 6th edition is lined up with speakers from Shazam, Deezer, Sigfox, the Economist, Warner Music Group and Intel. More than 500 companies and 128 speakers are participating in the one-day event on the 26th of October, 2017. If you think you are the next market disruptor, you might want to take part in Uprise Fest 6!
See you in Dublin?
